Growing up on the beaches of the Lowcountry, Isle of Palms, South Carolina was a hidden gem at the time of Cailyn Hager’s youth. Being drawn to the ocean as a child, Cailyn began surfing at the age of four years old with the help of her father. Fascinated with the small surf community along the beaches of South Carolina, Cailyn focused on documenting the simplicity of life as an adolescence growing up with the love for the ocean. Cailyn desires to one day embody the work of Hugh Holland - an American photographer famous for his film pictures of skateboarders in Southern California during the 1970s. Another one of her other biggest inspirations is the work of Cece Lana, a photographer based in LA. Cailyn is currently freelance film photographer based in Charleston, SC & Santa Barbara, CA.
